In Douala, there is an orphanage with 48 children runned by Thérèse Ngo Moune, a warm-hearted woman called “Maman”. The little cabin, with precarious and insufficient bedrooms and common areas, accommodates orphan children, street children and children with no resources.

The Samuel Eto’o Private Foundation was able to visit and find out about this woman’s great social work. What is more, on the day of the visit, she had just collected a 2-day-old baby, whom she placed in our arms. You cannot imagine the feelings that overwhelmed us! From that moment on, the decision was taken to protect, accommodate and help “Maman” and her children. This is being done through financial assistance in maintenance, clothes, teaching materials, tuition fees, toys etc. Finally, above all, we want to improve the current facilities, before we build our own children's foster center.
