We are the first ones to organise a competition for under-12s in Cameroon!
Why? Because the children deserve all this effort and dedication, because all its participants will have to attend school (with financial assistance and grants for the tuition fees) and as a prize, they will learn and play football or, in other words, they will better themselves, improve, travel to take part in international competitions, belong to national teams etc.
Through football, this project aims to achieve integration, education and training for Cameroonian children. To give them an opportunity to develop with dignity as people, within an organisation in which “everyone is important and necessary”.
In Cameroon, it is not easy to go to school. Education is not free, families cannot afford it, or transport their children; furthermore, the children have to work to make ends meet. Through grants to cover the costs of studying and transport, through organisation and supervision, we seek to enhance education by encouraging the children via football.
We started “FEST’SPORT” four years ago, only in the city of Douala, and with barely 100 children. The second event was held in Douala and Yaoundé; we are now present in ten towns (Douala, Yaundé, Bamenda, Maroua, Ngaoundéré, Bertoua, Ebolowa, Buéa, Limbé y Bafoussam). We work with over 5,000 children and we subsidize the finals at a regional and national level. More than 400 scholarships have been awarded, as well as 5,000 financial aids for transport.
