In April 2007, Samuel Eto’o participated in the World Health Organisation event organised to find treatments to eliminate sleeping sickness.

It is planned that Samuel Eto’o will become the WHO ambassador on a world-wide scale, with the aim of helping all those people affected by this disease in Africa.
